Salman khan who is on a high after the success of his films has added Sumit Dutt to his bag of favorites. The visual maverick Sumit Dutt and Salman Khan's bonding dates back when Sumit Dutt directed the title track of the movie HELLO, and has directed Salman's two more chartbusters in READY. The song Dhinka Chika and Character Dheela have been directed by Sumit whose direction was spot on and added to the success of the song. The duo have already created a blast with their new song Desi Beats from Bodguard Sumit Dutt a New York Film School pass-out, he specializes in understanding the pulse of the audience and the mindset of the people. A background in advertising, having directed commercials for the biggies of the industry- Hindustan Levers, Godrej, McDonalds and others. He has now made a smooth transition into films with the phenomenal success of READY's Dhinka Chika and Character Dheela.

There is this utterly delightful action sequence where Nana Patekar, playing a belligerent corrupt but effectual cop in a crime-infested small town of Uttar Pradesh run by the political mafia, barges on to a nefarious hide-out. He peeps into the room where the goons are watching a vintage black-and-white song on television. Then they switch to a channel airing a Himesh Reshammiya song.
Patekar slams into the room and shoots them all down.

The savage humour of the above sequence stays with you in a film that could have made a much more forceful impact had Shagird come four years earlier.
Given today’s jaded political scenario with politicians of both genders perpetrating the most obnoxious deeds of corruption on the national exchequer, the Bunty Bhaiyas and the Shakeel Bhais of this film appear to be relatively harmless creatures of the underworld.
Like the cops in the films of earlier millennium this film arrives a little late after the action is over. The film exudes the scent of jadedness. That could also be because of the characters who are so steeped in corruption and debauchery they seem born for hell. However the feeling of experiencing something decadent seeps deeper into the narrative.
Last year, soon after the release of “Tere Bin Laden“, Ali Zafar auditioned for the remake of Chashme Baddoor to be directed by David Dhawan. After “Tere Bin Laden”, Dhawan was quite impressed by the Zafar’s comic timing and decided to cast him in his upcoming film. February this year, Zafar confirmed signing up for a romantic comedy film. Chashme Baddoor is a classic, directed by Sai Paranjpe in 1981 and is being remade by Dhawan.
Moments ago, we have learnt that the film will also feature Rishi Kapoor, apart from Sonu Nigam, who will play a paanwaala in the remake of ‘Chashme Baddoor’. Rishi Kapoor is known for delivering the best of such comic roles which is why the film is expected to keep you entertained.
The classic Chashme Baddoor is a story of three friends who had a thing for a girl ‘Neha’.
The Salman Khan-starrer, an action-packed romance about a policeman who does little by the book, "answers the need of cinegoers for entertainment rooted in Indian soil," said the jury which on Thursday announced the winners for 2010.
The award for best film went to "Adaminte Makan Abu", a Malayalam-language film about a "simple yet evocative articulation of humanist values".
The best actor prize was shared by Dhanush for Tamil film "Aadukalam" and Salim Kumar for "Adaminte Makan Abu".
The best actress award was also shared -- by Saranya Ponvannan for Tamil film "Thenmerkku Paruvakkatru" and Mitalee Jagtap Varadkar for Marathi film "Baboo Band Baaja".
Vetrimaran took the honours in the directing category for Tamil film "Aadukulam".
Kangna Ranaut’s sister Rangoli got married to her childhood friend, businessman Ajay Chandel, at a grand wedding ceremony held at their ancestral haveli in Bhamla near Manali.
The two-hour wedding ceremony was preceded by sangeet and mehndi the night before the marriage. Over 700 family members and close friends were invited for the ceremonies. The menu was traditional ‘pahadi’ cuisine.
Kangna wore a cream sequined chiffon and silk Reza Shariffi churidar kurta with a pink-and-silver border studded with semi-precious stones and pearls while Rangoli wore a white, red and gold saree with a red-and-gold veil.
