Ranbir Kapoor to enter ‘Bigg Boss 5′ as guest?

The “Bigg Boss 5″ house, which has mainly women inmates, might see actor Ranbir Kapoor and singer Mohit Chauhan making a special entry this week.

They will visit the sets of “Bigg Boss 5 – Aapka Farman” to promote their forthcoming movie “Rockstar”. But it is still not confirmed if they will enter the house and speak to the contestants in person.

However, if sources are to be believed, Ranbir is very keen to have a conversation with the ladies, and will try and get host, Sanjay Dutt, to help him do so.

The “Rockstar” special episode will be on air on Colors Saturday.

‘RA. ONE’ earns Rs. 18 crore on first day

The reviews notwithstanding, it has managed to collect Rs.18 crore at the home box office on the opening day.

However, as predicted by trade pundits, the film couldn’t break the first day collection records of Salman Khan starrer “Bodyguard”, which earned Rs.22 crore in the domestic market on the opening day.

In the onverseas market, the Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros International co-production raked in Rs.6.5 crore.

If reviewers have a different take on the film, viewers are also reacting differently but theatre owners predict good business in the coming week.

“Although the film has got mixed reviews, the first day has been really good. We witnessed more than 80 percent occupancy,” a source in PVR told IANS.

“Moreover, the extensive marketing of the film has created a curiosity among people, who are eager to see what is the film all about,” the source added.

Cinemax witnessed an average footfall on the first day.

“There could be two reasons – the 3D version of the film was made available a little late. Although in metros it was fine, but in other cities due to delayed release in 3D we had to cancel some of the shows,” said Sunil Punjab, CEO of Cinemax.

ollywoodWorld.com, From a monthly salary of Rs.6,000, Sushil Kumar has hit the jackpot by winning Rs.5 crore ($1 million) on the game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati 5″. He says he will now prepare for the civil services – something he had stopped dreaming about due to his financial situation earlier.

“Everything seems completely different. The feeling is yet to sink in. I had never thought I would be able to win Rs.5 crore,” Kumar, 27, told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

This was Kumar’s second attempt at making it to the hot seat which turned into a life-changing moment for him – he entered the show with the aim of winning Rs.2,500,000. He won 20 times that.

“I came to the show with the mindset that I would go back home with at least Rs.25,00,000 but by god’s grace I have won Rs.5 crore. Even after deducting the tax, I know I would get at least Rs.3.5 crore which is enough for me,” he said.

Before becoming a crorepati, Kumar, who hails from East Champaran in Bihar, used to work as a computer operator. So winning the game show is a big moment in his life.

“Ever since I have won, I am stormed with calls from family and friends and even from those whom I have rarely met. It’s a fabulous feeling. I didn’t prepare much for the show. I just had an idea of what could be asked and did a little preparation with whatever books I had,” he said.

Kumar, who is married, lives in a big joint family – he has five brothers, five nieces and a nephew.

My performance will have Indian influence – Lady Gaga

BollywoodWorld.com, She claims to have been “dying” to come and perform in India, and now that she will finally take centrestage at the F1 after-party Sunday, international pop star Lady Gaga says fans will get a taste of her modern touch but with an Indian influence.

“I want to surprise you all…I’ve been working with the House of Gaga for a month now to make it beautiful. There will be some Indian influence (in my performance), but I have modernised it in my way. It will be a hybrid between my vision and the vision in India,” Gaga told reporters here Friday.

The singer, who has made it big in the international music scene with her albums “The Fame” (2008), “The Fame Monster” (2009) and “Born This Way” (2011), is looking forward to the D-day.

The F1 after-parties, to be held as part of the Airtel Grand Prix of India, will take place at a special, 20,000 sq ft construction at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida. They are being hosted by lounge bar Lap, co-owned by actor Arjun Rampal and restaurateur A.D.Singh.

Gaga has special plans for her India gig.

“I worked very hard. I have built a special stage for this show – it is unique for India…it has never been done anywhere else in the world, and I will be incorporating also, the collaborations with some of the Indian DJs into the performance. It will be shown on television here in India. And as I said, I have been working very hard on this, and I have been dying to come here and perform. I am excited about it,” she added.

Gaga, who was dressed in a simple, multi-coloured, one-shoulder, full-length gown, with a tricoloured bouffant, has also promised her fans “a couple of surprises”.

Bollywood makes its presence felt at F1 after party

Unlike day one, the second day of F1 after-party hosted by actor Arjun Rampal saw a number of Bollywood celebrities making their presence felt.

Preity Zinta, Fardeen Khan, Sudhir Mishra and Nikhil Advani were among the guests, who flew down to the capital to add zeal to the party. Southern superstar Venkatesh was also present.

While Preity, Fardeen and Nikhil chose to go for all-black look, Sudhir stuck to his signature style with jeans and a jacket.

Suzanne Roshan was spotted on the second day as well, however, after going green on the previous day, she chose for an all-black outfit this time.

Nikhil, completely soaked in the F1 spirit, said he is eagerly looking forward for the performance of international pop icon Lady Gaga.

“I am really looking forward to the performance of Lady Gaga. I am sure it will be a rocking show,” said Nikhil, who has made films like “Kal Ho Naa Ho” and “Patiala House”.

While filmmaker Sudhir was all excited about F1, he seemed disinterested when asked about Gaga’s performance.

“I like the rush of the game, I like the sport a lot. Although I didn’t see the qualifiers today but before coming here I visited the track, it is amazing and I have heard that it’s the fastest track ever made,” said Sudhir, who calls himself a fan of F1 champ and Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel.
